Summary Review

RoboForm can be used with mobile devices too, so you can really have your passwords, safenotes and identities everywhere you go. To use RoboForm on a mobile device you have to own a RoboForm license already ($29.99) and in the case of Palm  purchase an additional plugin (that costs $9.99). RoboForm supports a wide variety of Mobile Devices which are fully detailed in the full Review. The systems supported are:

 RoboForm for Palm - this mobile password manager plugin costs an additional $9.99

RoboForm for Windows Mobile - the plugin is free because is currently in beta

RoboForm for Symbian - this plugin is free

Roboform for Blackberry - this plugin is free

As with other mobile programs of this type Roboform on a mobile device cannot be used to form fill automatically or to auto login. Its function is to keep a full record synchronised with your desktop of all your usernames and passwords and other information. All of this is encrypted and only accessible with your master password so you can be secure in the knowledge that your data is not at risk in the event of loss or theft.

Beside these plugins for mobile devices, RoboForm also offers versions that runs on USB devices (RoboForm2Go), and another portable version that only works with U3 enabled USB devices (RoboForm2Go For U3)

Roboform2Go on USB can be plugged into another Computer and you can use all the features of Roboform desktop on that Computer including auto login and form fill but everything is kept encrypted on the USB stick and no trace is left on the other Computer when the USB stick is unplugged. If you have more than one Computer at home you can use USB to use Roboform on more than one. The other solution is to have Roboform on both and you pay a small supplementary licence fee.

Summary Review

SplashID gives you security for all your confidential data and information such as usernames, passwords, bank accounts, credit cards, registrations, etc. SplashID comes as both a Pocket PC and desktop application, keeping records of your confidential data in two separate places with the ability to sync between the two. I found it easier imputing all of my data through the desktop application using a keyboard and after I was done I simply connected my mobile device to my desktop via ActiveSync and presto! I had all my confidential data secure and ready to take on the move.

SplashID has an automatic password generator. With the automatic password generator I was able to create a unique password for my accounts and logins to keep my accounts more secure. And you will know that all your confidential data is secure as you can set a 256-bit Blowfish encryption password for accessing SplashID.

For Mobile use SplashID is available for an impressively large variety of Mobile Devices. It supports Palm, Pocket PC, Smartphone, IPhone, Series 60 and Blackberry. See the Full Review for a detailed list of supported Devices

SplashID only just misses out to Roboform in the rankings. This is only because of Roboforms better performance as a Desktop Program. Both are just as good on Mobile Devices.

SplashID is well organized, easy to use, and gives me peace of mind that my confidential data is secure when on the move.
